That damn lock screen. Every time we start our PC with Windows 10, the happy lock screen in which it is not always appears asks us to enter the password associated with our account. If we use Windows 10 at work, the data protection law requires companies to protect all their computers with a password and this option, which is activated by default in Windows 10, is ideal for this type of case.
But if we use Windows 10 at home and we only use our computer, it's a bit absurd to have it password protected, since we are only going to be the ones who can access it. Fortunately, we can deactivate the password that is requested every time our PC turns on or wakes up from suspension.
Disabling this option is a very simple step and does not require great knowledge nor do we have to download any application to do it, since through a simple command, we can open the necessary application to do so.
Disable lock screen with password in Windows 10
- First, we press the following key combination: Windows key + R. Or we can go to where Cortana is so that Windows will search and run the following application.
- Next we write netplwiz and press Enter.
- In the next window a dialog box will open showing all the users who have access to the computer. If in our case we only have one user, only ours will be shown.
- Right at the top of the box where the user / s appear, we find a marked box that is named: Users must enter their name and password to use the equipment.
- Now we just have to deactivate that box and click OK.
- In the next step, we will be asked for the password to confirm that we are the legitimate users of the account for which we are deactivating the password.
