Microsoft regularly releases updates for Windows 10. The most recent of them was the one in October, which has caused problems for many users, so that many have bet on postponing the update. It is possible that at one point you are not sure if you have received an update or what was the last one you had.
So we are looking for a way to check this on our computer. We have a couple of ways know what is the latest Windows 10 update what we have just recived. So it is going to be really easy for us to know, in case we have missed one.
The recommendation is to always have the latest version of the operating system, since improvements are always introduced, in addition to security patches. So if we have any doubts, it is good to check it out, so that we can get that update later and thus have these additional improvements. There are two ways to find out, which we show below.
Windows 10 settings
The first of the two ways is really simple, and for which we are going to use the Windows 10 configuration. Once we are in the configuration, we have to enter the system section, which is the first one that appears on the screen. We then look at the column that appears on the left side of the screen.
There we click on the last option that appears on the list, which is «About». This is a section in which we find information about the operating system. When we have clicked and these options appear on the screen, we have to look at the section on the screen, which says "Windows Specifications", located at the bottom of the screen. There we can see what version of Windows 10 we have installed on our computer.
All the information about your version of the operating system will then be displayed, including the exact version you have installed at that time. So you will know if it is the latest update or not.
Winver command
Another really simple way to know the version of Windows 10 that we have installed on our computer is by using a command. We can enter it in the search bar that we have on the task bar. The command in question in winver. When you write it and hit enter, a box will appear directly in which we have the version of the operating system that we have installed on the computer.
Another very simple way to know, and thus see which update is the last one that we have received in our team.
