There are many situations in which the resource of being able to manage a computer remotely is very useful. This is usually done, for example, when we have to lend a hand to another user who is in a different location than ours. We connect to his computer and, from our computer, we move around his to execute the actions required in each case. In this post we are going to see how to control a PC from another device.
This function can be very useful even for ourselves, since it allows us to access our own computer from another location. For example, to access a file or program that we have installed on it.
In Windows it is included by default a remote desktop feature called RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). This allows us to establish a connection between two computers, as long as the administrators of both allow it. But without having to implement this protocol, we have other methods to achieve the same thing. That is, controlling a PC from another device.
The simplest and fastest solution is to install a program on our computer that allows us to carry out this operation in a simple and safe way. And in this specific category, there is a lot to choose from. These are our suggestions:
AnyDesk
The first software on our list is AnyDesk, a solution that has become very popular for various reasons. The first of all is that it is a free program (although it has paid versions with additional functions) that gives us the possibility of controlling a computer remotely.
Another reason to choose AnyDesk is that its use is really simple. For example, to access a PC from a mobile phone, we first have to download the app on the smartphone to establish the connection. At the same time, you have to start the program on the PC. There, a nine-digit code is provided that must be entered into the app to complete the process.
Apart from this, it is a really light program that will take up very little storage space on our computer. And that's always interesting.

Google Chrome Remote Desktop
Let's now see the solution that Google offers us to control our own PC from another device. Is called Google Chrome Remote Desktop, like this, without getting complicated with elaborate names. To be able to use it on our Windows computer we only need to have the Chrome browser installed on it and enable the expansion Chrome Remote Desktop, which is available for free in the Chrome Web Store.
Setting up this tool is very simple and will only take a few minutes. Afterwards, it's extremely easy to start sharing any element we want from your Windows PC screen. The only requirement is that the second device must have the same browser installed, that is, Google Chrome installed (or the equivalent on mobile versions). Remote connection is simple if we follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Supreme
Probably the least known program in our brief selection, although in reality it has nothing to envy of the others. Supreme is a PC remote control software that works quite well and is also free, as long as it is intended for personal use (for professional or business uses, you must subscribe to one of their paid plans).
It is software compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Very easy to use. With it we can remotely control a PC from any other device, join meetings and even chat with the remote user. Very practical.
In addition to the PC remote control function, it offers other no less interesting functions. For example, sharing files and folders remotely between computers.
TeamViewer
The most famous of the options that exist to manage PC remotely, at least by number of users. Like the other solutions on our list, in order to use TeamViewer First you have to download and install it on the two computers that you want to connect (there is also the possibility of using the versions for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets). The connection is made through a special code that corresponds to each device.
Like SupRemo, this program also includes a very practical chat service that allows you to establish a communication channel between the two connected users, in order to better coordinate the tasks that are executed remotely.
Likewise, TeamViewer offers individual users a very complete free version for personal use, as well as other payment options aimed at companies and professionals.

Zoho Help
We close our list with Zoho Help, a remote assistance software designed specifically with the needs of teamwork in mind. It can be said that what distinguishes this solution from other more popular ones is that it is more appropriate for business use.
In reality, Zoho Assist is just one of the many tools in the Zoho suite. Specifically, one that has been developed in order to be able to access any computer in a simple way, especially thinking about the good performance of a technical assistance service. You know, the IT guy who asks his client for permission to connect remotely and solve a problem.
All this makes this a more precise and paid option, although it offers numerous different plans that adapt to the budget of any type of business.
These are, in short, our five proposals so that any of us can control our PC from another device. The list could be even longer, but most users will find what they are looking for in one of these solutions. Which one is your favorite?
