First we will open our account in the mail service in the browser. We log into it and when we are in the inbox, we are ready to start. We have to click on the cogwheel icon, which we see on the right side, just above the emails in the tray. When we click on this icon, a contextual menu will appear on the screen. Of the options that are in it, click on Settings.

Once inside the Gmail settings, we look at the tabs at the top. There are several options, one of which It's called Filters and Blocked Addresses. This is the section where the filters that are in operation are shown, in addition to giving us the possibility of creating a new one in the account. Within this section we find an option called Create filter, on which we have to click in this case.

Doing this opens a new window on the screen, where we start with the configuration of this filter in question. Gmail allows us to configure various aspects in it. The first thing we have to do is determine the type of emails we want to filter in this case. We can do it with the email address that sends the message or the one that receives it, or with other characteristics. For example, it is possible to choose words that will be in said message, which we consider unacceptable, causing that message to be filtered at all times.

Therefore, we can customize these filters in the way that we consider most appropriate. Since we can make only certain senders are blocked or that emails that have a certain content are filtered, with certain words in it. When we have created the filter we want, we can search and we will then get the results with these emails, which would be filtered in the current configuration. Once everything is as we want, click on the create filter button. We then move on to the second step.

In the second step, Gmail will ask us what do we want to do with the emails that do not pass through this filter. In this sense, they offer us a wide list of options, in which to make the decision of what will happen with these messages. We can mark them as read, delete, resend and many more options. Therefore, each user must consider what they consider appropriate in their case to do with these messages in their email account. Once you have selected the desired option, you just have to click on the blue button to create a filter. Thus, this filter has already been officially created.
