The Windows 10 Desktop background can be changed and customized to our liking, as with other versions of Windows, but this is sometimes annoying if we are dealing with a company or association team.
For these cases, it is best lock the desktop background with an image so that no one can change it and therefore it remains as a corporate image. This little trick that could be done with old Windows, can also be done in Windows 10.
In the case of Windows 10, we can block the desktop background in several ways, without using external programs, But in this case I will tell you the most general method, an easy method that can be used in any version of Windows 10, without the need for it to be a server or Professional version.
Locking the desktop background can be helpful for institutions and companies
First of all we have to set the desktop background that we want to be by default. Then we have open local directive editor, a tool that will allow us to apply certain restrictions on our equipment. To open it we have to press the Windows key + R button and type the following gpedit.msc to open the local group policy editor.
Once we have the editor open, on the left side we have to look for the following address:
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization
In this direction there will be an entrance called "Prevent changing desktop background", we double click on it and select the option Enabled or Enabled. We press the accept button and save the changes. From now on, we will not be able to change the desktop background and every time we try A message will appear warning us that we will not be able to make these changes.
