Many are the bluetooth keyboards that dispense with any type of lighting to thus extend the life of the battery, especially in the smaller keyboards that are intended for mobile devices but they are compatible with any PC with Windows, macOS or Linux.
In my case, I have a keyboard Logitech K380, a keyboard that I use regularly both on my Windows PC and iPad, due to its compact size. This keyboard only has an indicator LED on the side, an LED that according to the color (green, yellow or red) shows the battery level each time I turn it on.
The Caps Lock key does not incorporate any type of LED, so sometimes, when I am entering a password on a web page that does not tell me if I have the caps lock activated, it can induce to misspell the password.
In all the years that I have been in the computing world, a couple of decades, I have always found a solution in the form of an application to any problem that I have come across.
In this case, it is caps lock. The Logitech app for this keyboard, It does not help me in the work of knowing if I have the caps lock activated, but if a Lenovo application does.
Levono offers us a simple application that allows us to display a notification on the screen when we activate the caps lock or the numeric keypad block. This notification, which remains on the screen for 2,5 seconds, allows us to quickly know the status of the lock on both capital letters and the numeric keypad (if our keyboard has one).
Application it's totally free and we can download it directly from this link. Once we have downloaded it, the first thing it does is unzip the file where the application is located and then it invites us to install it. I explain this because it gives the feeling that you want to install the same application twice.
Once we have installed it, we must restart our team to start showing the notification of the caps lock or number on the screen.
It works for any PC or just Lenovo?
For any PC.
Greetings.
