Despite being a disused browser, sometimes there will be no other option but to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer, since, for example, in old versions or for Windows servers, it is the only web browser that is included by default. How to fix Internet Explorer download error for security reasons
As we mentioned, in this case it is possible that depending on the configuration you have established on your computer, Internet Explorer takes care of automatically blocking file downloads from different websites. However, you should not worry about it since it can be solved easily. To do this, you just have to follow the following steps:
- Click on the options wheel in the upper right part and then, in the drop-down, choose "Internet Options", in order to open the Internet Explorer settings box.
- Once inside, at the top choose the option called "Security" between the different tabs, and make sure you are applying the options for the correct zone.
- Then, at the bottom, select the button "Custom level ..." in order to allow you to customize the different options to your liking.
- You will see how a new box appears, where you should locate the option called "File Download" and make sure it is marked as enabled so that you can allow the download.
- Clever! Apply and save the changes, reload the web page you were on and you should now be able to access the download normally.
