Windows 10 came through the big door, however, the guys from Redmond could fear failure. Thus, they began to string together a series of dubious tactics to "force" previous Windows users to upgrade to this new PC operating system that promised so much. Now, Chris Capossela, the current Microsoft Market Chief has confessed that they went too far with the Windows 10 update policy and that they regret the way they acted. And it is that there were not few users who set fire to criticism of social networks due to "forced" updates.
Their offer strategies confused users a lot, the message was between intimidating and abusive, and is that Microsoft was excessively excited about Windows 10, to the point of annoying users. This is how he counts in the interview offered to Windows Weekly who realized that they were passing:
There was a particular moment in which people pressed the red "X" in the update app hoping that this meant "cancel", but in reality what it did was put the download and installation in the background so as not to annoy the user.
The fact is, a lot of people got upset because they felt cheated and that's when we knew we went too far in forcing the update. The next thing we did was change the way that button works, but these things take time so we spent a very painful two weeks receiving criticism.
All this was left behind, the criticisms that Windows 10 now usually receives are all favorable, we are facing one of the best operating systems for PC that we find available, however, it is commendable, since it's never too late to apologize, as they would say in Redmond.
