The launch of Windows 7 was widely applauded by many users . This version of Windows marked a significant departure not only from the dreadful Windows Vista, which required more resources than a NASA computer, but also eliminated some unnecessary features, such as widgets, which were a headache for users and an entry point for malicious actors.
Many users quickly rushed to switch to this version of Windows, a version that did not have such high requirements as Vista, and whose operation was very similar to the veteran Windows XP, which is still found on many millions of computers today.
Despite being surpassed by Windows 8.x (a more modern version of Vista) and by Windows 10, given its success and the market share it still holds, close to 50%, the Redmond-based company decided to extend the support period for this veteran OS that has provided us with so many good times since it arrived on the market.
Just over a month ago, Microsoft released a large number of updates simultaneously, allowing for quick updates without relying on the separate updates we were used to. In fact, the company announced that from then on, it would compile all updates into a single package for monthly downloads, addressing any performance issues the PC running the update might have.
True to its word, the company has just released a new update package including performance improvements and bug fixes that users have encountered in their daily use. The update does not include solutions to any security issues the platform may have experienced, as these types of incidents are quickly resolved with a direct update, without having to wait for Microsoft to bundle them together.
