The minimum requirements for Virtual Reality aren't the only thing we've learned this week. Microsoft has also announced new features for its upcoming gadgets. These include the addition of eSIM and 5G technology for faster web browsing.
This is an advance over other Microsoft rivals who have talked about the e-SIM but it is still unknown when it will appear or if they will actually use it on their devices.
However, we know that future Microsoft devices will have e-SIM , a card similar to the SIM card in our mobile phone that will be built into the device and will be compatible with any network and phone company, so the user does not need to change cards at any time or make the inconvenient transfers of data and cards.
Possibly the Surface Phone is the first mobile with an e-SIM card and 5G technology on the market
In addition, Microsoft indicates that the data plan that can be associated with the e-SIM card can be contracted from the Microsoft Store , so the user would need almost nothing to be able to connect their device to the internet in a few seconds or while traveling.
On the other hand, Microsoft has also announced that this card will reach 5G speeds , the new technology that will also be featured in its new devices. However, we don't know anything else about the new 5G in Microsoft devices. We also don't know which devices will support it.
In other words, the devices that have already been leaked and will be presented next month probably won't have this card, but the rest of the devices presented throughout the year will. This might be the difference between the Surface Phone and other phones: a phone that won't need a SIM card and will have 5G connectivity. Interesting, isn't it?
