Pokémon Go returns to Windows Phone with PoGo although not only

  • Windows 10 Mobile users can enjoy Pokémon Go again.
  • PoGo's latest update includes iPhone mode to prevent bans.
  • A virus disguised as Pokémon Go called PokemonGo.exe has been detected.
  • This virus can infect systems and is difficult to remove.

Pokémon Go

After a lot of work by the PoGo developers, Windows 10 Mobile users finally have Pokémon Go on their platforms again. Apparently the developers have managed to get PoGo working again after the last update of Pokémon Go from Niantic and has also included an update and improvement that will make Windows 10 Mobile users not feel forgotten and can hunt pokémon with complete peace of mind.

Among the improvements is the possibility of use iPhone mode that resembles the device to an iPhone and thus be able to be safe from future bans by Niantic.

In addition, the latest version of PoGo includes elements that the original video game had such as the achievements tab, the ability to edit the profile or character information as well as be able to transfer pokémon to the Professor.

PokemonGo.exe does not belong to PoGo but to a virus

Unfortunately PoGo does not come alone and the interest on the part of Windows Phone users has caused the malware to reach Pokémon Go and computers with Windows Phone and Windows. Currently it has been detected an executable called PokemonGo.exe that has Pikachu as its icon which is not only not a Pokémon video game but also infects our computer with ransomware and it is difficult to remove from our team. This virus inserts itself into our system and to avoid being removed inserts into the MBR of all drives in the system so its removal is difficult or impossible for certain users. This virus is dangerous, although fortunately it has been detected and is being neutralized.

It is positive that the PoGo team get on with the video game but less positive is that they try to take advantage of users using the name of the video game for a virus, hopefully the latter will disappear quickly, although something tells me that it will be more popular than PoGo What do you think?
