Windows 10 Mobile continues its journey in the market, arguably with more pain than glory, and is trying to gain prominence as the days go by. One of Microsoft's main efforts is to try to bring Windows 10 up to par on desktop and mobile systems, something it has not yet achieved.
For example, on our computers we can choose which browser to use, something we can't currently do on mobile devices with Windows 10 Mobile, where we have to use Microsoft Edge by default. Fortunately, this could change very soon, allowing users to use other web browsers.
Looking at the new options in the recent Build 14946, we can see that the default web browser can now be changed . At the moment, we don't know if it will be possible to change it to any browser on the market, but it seems almost certain that we'll be able to use a browser other than Edge.
No user has too many problems with Microsoft Edge, but many users need to use other web browsers . For example, I like to use Google Chrome on all my devices because that's where I have all my bookmarks and links to the main tools I use daily stored. Having to use Microsoft Edge on my Windows 10 Mobile smartphone is very limiting.
At the moment this option to change the default web browser cannot yet be used, although perhaps very soon we will be able to see it and choose which browser we want to use in our day-to-day life on our mobile device.
