Microsoft is gradually releasing updates to users in the Insider program, revealing some of the new features coming with the first major system update , Windows 10 Anniversary Update. The latest Windows 10 build, version 14372, is now available to Insider users and allows the installation of the Evernote extension in Microsoft Edge.
But it's not the only one, as more and more developers are gradually preparing their extensions to be compatible as soon as Windows 10 Anniversary arrives on the market, expected at the end of July this year, the date on which the option to download and install Windows 10 completely free of charge will end.
The Evernote extension for Microsoft Edge lets us save web pages directly to our Evernote account so we can view them on any device. Microsoft wants us to stop using other browsers by adding this much-desired feature. Furthermore, a few days ago they uploaded a video to YouTube showing that Windows 10 laptops using Microsoft Edge have significantly longer battery life than those using Chrome, Opera, or Firefox.
If you're part of the Insider program and have installed the latest version of Windows 10, you can try the following Microsoft Edge extensions: LastPass, Adblock, Adblock Plus, Page Analyzer, Save to Pocket, Microsoft Transistor, Reddit Enhancement Suite, Mouse Gestures, OneNote Web Clipper, and Pinterest. These are currently preview versions that, pending final review, function correctly. However, the developers will wait until the final release to iron out any bugs the applications might have. These extensions will be available through the Windows Store.
