Windows Phone

The bad news continues for Microsoft when it comes to the smartphone market and it is that once again the data published by Kantar leaves in a very uncomfortable place the devices with Windows Phone that every time are sold to a lesser extent. The most worrying thing for those of Redmond is that the market share continues to fall, even in a country that until not too long ago was a great refuge for them like Great Britain or Italy.

In addition, the figures no longer invited optimism, but many believed that it could not be done lower. Without a doubt they were wrong and it is that the sale of terminals with Windows Phone it can still fall, and it looks like it's going to do so until it hits rock bottom.

Not too long ago, when market share was touching 10% in the Redmond offices, many claimed that they had found the time and place to attack iOS and Android. That moment seems to have faded and now Android with a share that continues to rise and is already above 90% is unattainableEven for Apple devices that lose a bit of ground to Google's.

If we look at a year ago, in Spain the sale of mobile devices with Windows Phone reached a market share of 2.5%, however today it has fallen to 0.6%. The situation is more serious in other countries such as Italy where it has gone from 13.3% to 6.4% or from 9% in Great Britain to 5.8% today.

Microsoft needs to do something as soon as possible to continue existing, because without a doubt the current market share of Windows Phone indicates that they are doomed sooner or later.
